Bio
In 1996, when Clay Poff's family relocated to Mio, he had yet to discover his passion for golf. Mio was known as a basketball school, offering limited summer programs for kids. Fortunately, the local 9-hole course provided a junior membership that would change his life.
Like many young golfers, Clay quickly fell in love with the game, spending nearly every summer day at the course. He took lessons from the PGA Professional and participated in junior tournaments, honing his skills and developing a deep appreciation for the sport.
By the time he graduated from high school, Clay had secured a golf scholarship to Eastern Michigan University. After completing his degree, he moved to South Florida to pursue a career in golf, achieving the status of Class A PGA member in 2014.
Now, as he embarks on his first opportunity as a golf coach, Clay is eager to share his knowledge and experience with students at Kirtland. He aims to help aspiring golfers improve their skills and compete at the collegiate level.
